OK Chan (b. 1993) is a Hong Kong–based architect with an artistic practice centred on analogue photography.

Working primarily with large‑format and medium‑format film, Chan’s approach is defined by slowness and deliberation.  Her photographs observe built environments in everyday life that quietly change.  Rather than iconic buildings or striking moments, she pursues subtle changes, everyday structures, and understated human imprints.  With a measured visual style, her work considers how the city continually evolves through use, adaptation, and passage of time.

Trained as an architect, Chan brings a sensitivity to spatial relationships and lived experience to her photography.   She has worked professionally as a project architect on commercial and institutional projects in Hong Kong, including Two Taikoo Place and the Elevated Walkway System at Taikoo Place.  Reflecting her belief in the fluid boundaries of urban life, she co-founded Walking Slow in 2022 to focus on community engagement, art curation, and public education.

Her photographs have received international recognition, including Silver Awards at the Prix de la Photographie, Paris (PX3), the Budapest International Foto Awards, and the Analog Sparks International Film Photography Awards (2024-2025).  She has also received Honourable Mentions from more than 30 photography awards, including the International Photography Awards, Tokyo International Foto Awards, Chromatic Photography Awards, Monochrome Photography Awards, Neutral Density Awards, and the MonoVisions Black & White Photography Awards (2023-2026).

Her multi-disciplinary work has been exhibited locally and internationally, including the “HKIA Annual Award Exhibition 2021” (2022), “Detour 2023 - New Know How” (2023), “HKIA Kuala Lumpur–Nanjing–Hong Kong Roving Architecture Exhibition” (2023–2024), “Hong Kong International Photography Festival exhibition: Hak to Hak – Villagers’ Portraits” (2025), solo exhibition “As Days Go By: A retrospective on everyday life in Hong Kong” (2025), the “Prix de la Photographie Paris 2025 Winners’ Exhibition” (2025), and the “Budapest International Foto Awards 2025 Winners’ Exhibition” (2026).
