As Days Go By - A retrospective on everyday life in Hong Kong
Introduction
A long-time friend and schoolmate is about to leave Hong Kong.
From our school days to working together, through trips and everyday moments, our lives have been deeply intertwined over the years.
Her departure has stirred in me a reflection on the many dreams we once whispered in our youth —
dreams, like this exhibition, that have quietly slipped beneath the weight of our increasingly scheduled lives over time.
This exhibition revisits those moments, with selected analog photographs thoughtfully sequenced to form a visual dialogue.
As time has passed, my role in life has evolved, and so has the way I see the city.
These are simple, personal recollections of ordinary moments in life, imbued with quiet emotion.
Yet through these glances of the city, I hope to awaken your memories of Hong Kong — those anchors that give meaning to our beloved hometown.
27 June 2025 - 6 July 2025, exhibited at Coffee Hermosa (G/F, 6 Whitfield Road, Tin Hau), a quiet coffee shop in a familiar neighborhood.
